Moive Reflection

The movie that we have been watching the last few days is called Zona Zamfirova. It's about a girl who lives in the city of Niš around the end of the 19th century. Zona is the daughter of a wealthy man. The movie takes her through a period of one or two years in which she is in love with the goldsmith of Niš Mane. But because they do not come form the same social class, they could not marry. But in the end as all love stories go, they do manage to get married right at the end of the movie.

Because it takes place during the end of the 19th century, you get to see a lot of memories of the Turkish empire. We mainly see these memories in the clothes such as the Fez, a popular hat that is widely popular in Turkey and in most middle eastern and Muslim countries. Also, the clothes are resemble Turkish culture as well. In this movie, you can also see a type of Turkish coffee that comes in a small cup. In this film, you can also see some religious facts in this movie. One thing I noticed is that when all the people leave the church, you need to cross yourself.  Also, I learned a lot about the men of Serbia from this movie. I learned that they all like to drink and socialize in bars.

So in conclusion, this movie Zona Zamfirova  takes you on a journey through Serbian traditions and customs as well as having a happy ending.
